2.5D Printer Concept

I want to define here a new concept named 2.5D Printer. People from CNC background may understand something from the title but I will detailed it here.
In CNC jargon 2.5D means that you have two axis of motion like X and Y axis but you don't have any Z axis as a third dimention. What you have instead of Z axis is an on/off control like powering a laser on and off. With this vision I come up with an idea of very simple printer. This printer will be an UV curing system. A light source will be on and off between the layers. That is where the 2.5D coming from. I have built a test setup in order to understand if this concept will work. Please find below some pictures about the system. There is also a cam mechanism for tilting the build vat. You can also see my desktop CNC which turned over 90 decrees to use its axis. With cheap 2.5D printer (if the resin can be cheap) You can have any object that you produce with an acrelic laser cutter. The gears or other small objects can be manufactured with a 2.5D printer. This will also be a proof of concept. I can eaisly upgrade this mechanism to a 3D printer by adding a projector instead of the bulb. As always I use gnexlab stepper motor controllers
