realy cool page and well put together.. its awesome how all our paths cross somewhere over and over again.I got on this page through probably another two links then on this one...lol cool!
Also why the polyimide film (kapton) is it for the high temp?
TJ.
Chemshapes
Thanks TJ. I hope to work with you on more projects.
The extruded hot plastic (ABS,PLA) sticks well on Kapton and it is also durable to high temp.
thank you very much ,it is very useful
You refer to the modified skeinforge software. Are you able to provide this software? How would be able to get hold of the modified version for CNC router use????
Thanks
BN
Hey, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog in Chrome, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, fantastic blog!
Hi, I am interested in this.
However, Can we get a little more detail (or links) about:
How to hook up the extruder to your control board. I don't see "diagram-1"
How to make the heated bed, or where to buy one that is compatible with your board... And a diagram of how to hook it all up.
You say to set the extruder 0.3 above the heated bed.. Is that mm or inches?
I really think this is an awesome project.
Thanks for doing all this work.
I want to happily announce that I am working on the second version of the controller board.
I got lots of great feedback from the people. It is a very easy way to have a 3d printer. This board is dealing with all the complex issues. And separate the temperature controlling stuff from the CNC tasks. It is very easy to use because it is stand alone and plug and play. Just connect the sensors and the relays set the temperatures and go.
The new board will have some nice features. I will also try to set up a video while printing. I want to thank all of you because of your supports.

Thanks for the excellent write-up, Nuri!
One thing I was wondering is if it's possible to add 2 inputs to turn on / off the heater and build plate (leaving temp to the board).
Do you have any timetable and features for v2?
Regards,
pierre
We have finished the first batch of the gnexlab controller card.
For the second version the alpha prototypes has been sent to production. I have already purchased the parts from Farnel.
I will let you know when I finish and test the second version card.
UPDATE
Working on the firmware of the second version controller card. This product will be easy to use and will have menu selectable options.
Features will be here soon
